THE LODGE
Hesperus Lodge is in the most beautiful rural setting ensuring a peaceful and relaxing break. Situated beside the River Tone on the Somerset Devon border, Hesperus Lodge is in the grounds of Hesperus Cottage in a tiny hamlet called Tracebridge. Although it is only 5 miles from the M5 it offers many country walks and an abundance of wildlife. The lodge offers comfortable and stylish furniture with luxurious sheepskins and a log burner. It is not overlooked and has its own private driveway and outside seating area, perfect for undisturbed relaxation.
Hesperus Lodge
Hesperus Lodge is a bespoke log cabin set within the grounds (but not within view) of Hesperus Cottage. It is in woodland by the River Tone, and beside a bat cave. One large room with a sitting and dining area, this self contained log cabin is the ideal place for a romantic getaway for a couple but is large enough to accommodate an extra child or baby. A quadruple chocolate sheepskin rug over a leather sofa is the perfect place to curl up with your loved one in front of the log burner. A small kitchenette with a belfast sink is in front of a window that looks down the River Tone.
MAGICAL ATMOSPHERE
You can relax out on the decking watching the wildlife, knowing you are not overlooked by anyone. Set in the most beautiful rural setting, Hesperus Lodge ensures a magical atmosphere for the perfect romantic break or serious ‘wind down’ for the busy professional. Many of our guests say they sleep so soundly they wake much later than they had expected!
DEFINITION OF COZY
The bed is a kingsize wooden bed with 100% cotton bedding, feather and down duvet and pillows and a luxurious mattress topper. Sheepskin rugs beside the bed add to the cozy country feeling.
RUSTIC COMFORTS
Hesperus Cottage gardens host a wide variety of wild birds. In addition you might spot deer, foxes, brown trout, bats or otters. You can meet our bantam hens and collect the eggs to take home with you. There is also a resident cat and a friendly Collie cross dog called Toby.
